McNeil Cemetery Database
The Joyce Dancy McNeil and George Franklin McNeil Family History Collection papers are the property of the the Wilkes Heritage Museum in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. These records are not accessible online. Information from the database is available for a fee as this is a fundraiser for the operation of the museum. Museum personnel can look up any name or cemetery desired from any person doing research for their family or other genealogical research. There is a $5.00 per page fee which includes postage to the recipient. These records include cemetery name and location, position in cemetery, date of birth, date of death, parents, spouse(s), and military service. We also have a genealogy by family report which lists children (if known).
We have several books for sale such as federal and state census records from the 1700s and 1800s, Wilkes County Marriages from 1874 to 1940, Delayed Birth Certificate records from 1941-2001, Wilkes County Death Certificates from 1913-1919, Brushy Mountain Baptist Association Minutes, Historical Sketches of Wilkes County by John Crouch, Wilkes County Cemeteries, ranging in price from $12.00 to $75.00.
